I’ve written about Marks’ 2 major missteps—taking on Simmons in the Harden deal & hiring coaches he can control instead of those with established records of success. Offset all the good work he put in to get this franchise out of the abyss.
I would call the PG deficiency poor judgment. Remember that Simmons proclaimed he was the PG & was all the back. Marks bought it. Dinwiddie probably would have been a fine secondary option, but not a starter.

The coaching circus is frustrating but his seeming reluctance to get a real PG to replace Kyrie makes no sense. Is that a control thing as well?
