Your trade 'proposal' made me laugh out loud. We all like Watson's potential, as does Denver. In your workable trade, Denver loses a likely starter for a pupu platter AND the stylings of Ben Seraf. "It could happen" LOL. I'm sure that Denver wants to get under the apron/tax/whatever, but I doubt that letting Watson walk for dumpster contents is on the table. Now getting Cam Johnson back to go with the current vets for something like Terrance Mann (which should reduce Denver's cap) might be interesting. I really like Mann as a stable vet who does a lot of good things but no great things, but CJ provides that too with better offense.

I'm more optimistic for the Nets' chances. Randall is a really good player, no matter his flaws. The PG position is up in the air. Kel Brown has been anointed by fans, but Nolan Traore in his 2nd season may have something to say about that. Jordi will be trying to win and it will be great to see him unleashed. The East is tough, but at least 30 wins is possible, if not more.

You make a solid case against the Nets. It's difficult to counter when one doesn’t have the stats to prove one's thoughts. I do remember a competent team playing at Barclays when Dennis Schröder was Jordi's starting Point-Guard. If he's an average PG, Nolan is a failing PG and Saraf doesn't even register.

The success of this team will largely rely upon the production of a rookie PG. While not the same position, I look at VJ Edgecombe as the player I hope Mikel Brown Jr can emulate.

The Nets will make the Play-IN Tournament
